Day 8 Hula Hoop Crocheted Mandala

Today marks day eight of adapting the Sacred Space Blanket into my Hula Hoop Mandala.

I laid the work out flat inside the hula hoop today to check the sizing. According to some great maker tips I found, it's important to leave a bit of open space between the edge of the stitches and the hoop so the piece can stretch flat and tight when it's attached. My mandala crochet work is officially done, and the next stop is attaching it to the hoop. Seeing it get to this stage is getting really exciting.
