I found this adorable embroidered paddle patch at Michael's, and the colors were spot on. Given the massive popularity of pickleball lately, you can find cute patches like this pretty much everywhere these days! I picked the perfect color yarn but after I got it home, I realized that the color transitions in the skein weren't going to happen as quickly as I had hoped. Instead of letting that ruin my plan, I cut and pulled the yarn until I reached the exact color I wanted. I ended up with several smaller balls of yarn in the process, but I’ve used them across plenty of other projects since. The takeaway? Don’t let slow color transitions hold you back—when crocheting, let your creativity lead the way! ⚠️ Maker tip: Never attempt to iron a patch directly onto acrylic yarn, as the heat will melt your fibers and ruin your hard work.
